Solo Exhibition: Dundee Contemporary Arts Print Gallery, 12th March – 8th May 2005. This is a collection of embossings and screenprints produced from photographic and digital sources that have very tactile qualities. They are an articulation of how migration, communication and technology influence our interpretation of the world around us and give rise to new vernaculars. Based on the ceiling and fireplace designs of the artist’s family home in Sydney, which was built around 1902 in the uniquely Australian Federation Style, the artworks are a homage to the many unknown and unrecognised designers, artisans and architects whose work in the early 1900s shaped domestic life in Australia.
